Annual Meeting

TO: Members of Bismarck Gymnastics Academy

FROM: Germain Krueger, Board Chair

DATE: October 24, 2019

RE: Annual Meeting

For the past two years I have served on the board of the Bismarck Gymnastics Academy as the chair and am proud of the accomplishments of the academy during that time. As a business BGA has not only added sessions to our schedule to accommodate our growing membership but developed expanded offerings such as multi-leveled tumbling to make programming and our presence in the community well rounded. The academy also hosts daycare and home school groups and offers birthday parties and public open gyms. BGA has purchased much needed new equipment for function and safety and has cleaned up the facility as well as the culture. All of this in just a few years, which excitedly leads me to look at the possibilities over the upcoming years.

Please save the date and plan to attend the Annual Meeting of Members on Sunday, November 3rd. It will be held at 5:00PM on the tennis courts of Capital Racquet and Fitness. You should enter through BGA. Here you will be presented with the financial standings, full reporting on the programming as well as a presentation on the fundraising plan for this fiscal year.

The future of BGA cannot continue on a bright path without members filling board seats. We currently have three board seats open. One to be filled immediately (term end date 12/31/20) and two to be filled at the annual meeting, taking seat in January 2020 (term end date 12/31/22). Skill sets needed on the board include communication, financial oversight, fundraising and organizational skills, and knowledge of the operations of a 501(c)3; with the greatest need to be filled in 2020 is financial oversight. As a team we work to lighten the load for one another by taking on areas in our personal strengths. Please considering joining our current board team!

I hope to see you and hear from you at the Annual Meeting on Sunday, November 3rd.
